Ralf Kneuper, Michael Kaiser: Introduction of project management in a large SW development programme

In this presentation, we show how CPU, one of the largest development programmes in Europe, introduced project management based on CMM. Starting with rudimentary beginnings, we now have efficient processes and tools to control the projects and complete them within budget, within time and within scope.

The presentation shows how we started these processes, how we institutionalised a continuous improvement process, the difficulties we encountered, and how we solved them.
